1. Appointment for no-fee passport
2. Doctor appointment for me (I need a physical on file before I can have my health screening for Germany)
3. Mail crap for name change on my tourist passport (this required braving the post office)
4. Renew tags
5. Take Hubster's Class A's in so his rank can be changed/combat patch added
We only accomplished items 1 through 3. Thankfully, those were the super important things that needed to be taken care of for our overseas move.
As for 4 and 5...*sigh*. We dug through a bunch of Hubster's Army crap looking for his orders to Ft. Gordon because we shouldn't have to pay taxes on our tags. Turns out, an LES (pay stub) is required (?????). So we had to leave because we didn't have the proper paperwork and we aren't going to pay $100+ if we don't have to do so. If I hadn't had to be at my doctor by 2:20, we could have gotten the correct paperwork. Alas, that was not to be.
Hubster will have to go back another day to take care of that.
As for the Class A's. *bigger sigh* Since the new Dress Blues have been in use, there are rank patches lined in two different colors: blue & green. Hubster unknowingly grabbed a blue-lined one. The alterations lady was kind enough to point this out.
No big deal. We could just walk down the way to Military Clothing and buy the correct one. WRONG. They were sold out of green-lined SGT patches. Of course. So was another supply store off-post.
I guess we just have a limit to how much we can accomplish each day.
To-do list for tomorrow:
Make an appointment for my health screening. After Hubster turns in my medical sheet, our CS (command sponsorship) request will be sent off to Germany. Then, we'll find out if I'll be able to travel with him to Germany or if I'll have to wait on housing to open up. Cross your fingers for us!
Wow. Sounds like you don't have enough to do. Try not to be so lazy...jeez
